Community Involvement

Our company mission is to develop the individual within their workspace and whilst this training is based on client organisational goals the curriculum lends itself to improve the individuals emotional competencies. We support personal development because we believe that everyone can use a coach, mentor and training. We involve ourselves in a number of community initiatives both at home and abroad that align with this philosophy. We support these groups in their endeavours to assist others.

Trek Climb Ski Nepal Community Fund

April 2015 was devastating for the community in Nepal with earthquakes, avalanches, destruction of homes, massive injuries and over 9000 deaths. Due to our personal connections with Nick Farr of The Everest Academy, and Tika Tamang of Trek Climb Ski Nepal, we decided to immediately assist our own community of people over there with emergency funds for food and shelter and ongoing support. After emergency relief was given, we focussed on assisting with rebuilding 4 homes in regional areas that were destroyed. With an eye on the future, we also supported funding education for some of the younger ones to break the cycle of poverty. See how we have been going with the generous support of many others.

In-school Mentoring

Big Futures In-School Mentoring Program is built on one to one relationships. Education is a young person's greatest chance of building a positive future. The Big Futures program gives community members the opportunity to connect with a vulnerable young person in a school setting. You can support and encourage them to take full advantage of what schools offer and develop a positive pathway into the future.

We believe in the aim to professionalise the investigator. Part of this process is training which is why we recognise and support VET whilst bringing our own point of difference with customised training which value adds to the industry. Further to this we believe in the establishment and support of representative bodies such as those below.

The Everest Academy

The Everest Academy rejects quick-fix team building approaches that seek to gloss over individual differences or rush to cement team bonds when the foundation is weak. We put 'self' at the start of every leadership development process – even when teams are involved. The Everest Academy's philosophy re-asserts that our greatest barriers to performance are often erected by ourselves not others. It is by accepting who we are and how we respond under pressure and taking responsibility for those behaviours that we begin to learn new levels of performance and new ways of being able influence others. Only then can we begin to commit to the team we serve or lead so the team can earn the right to success. This comes through non-negotiable commitments at the individuals level and the collective conduct necessary to assure a performance change or winning.
